A Message from the Assistant Coordinator

Bunbury Art Connect is a group initially conceived when I saw a need in the community to establish a platform from where artists have the opportunity to promote their work, support each other, share our skills and knowledge and essentially establishing vibrant creative events that benefit both artists and the community.

Bunbury is on the cusp of major change and with proactive participation from artists and the community we can make this city a vibrant hub of creativity that people will want to experience and enjoy.

Artisans love to create in what ever form they have a passion for, whether it is painting, sculpture, installations, craft to name a few, we can bring these talents and skills together by working in collaboration with each other.

There are many advantages in that firstly we support each other as artists, we bring the community together to enjoy the works of local artists, we have the opportunity to sell our work and we are creating a cultural event that will bring more people to Bunbury.

Initially it was my intention to establish a Bunbury Art Trail that focused on the city centre.  It became apparent and exciting from our first meeting after much inspiring discussion that it needn't be limited to just an art trail, but a series of events that promotes our craft as artists and encourages the community to participate.

We have a number of Members and a Core Group organising events with the assistance and input of members who volunteer their support. Our group is gaining momentum and with effort and dedication we are looking forward to exciting positive outcomes.

We are presently meeting on the first Thursday of each month and welcome anyone who would like to understand and gain insight into our group.  You can also visit us on Bunbury Art Connect on Facebook and our website -
